True Or False: Hip Hop Is Dead
Hip hop has been hugely popular for many years now. So popular in fact, that many fear that the vast number of new artists have watered down the market. Too many artists result in less new and different styles, and more repetition. This is indeed problematic.
Despite this fact, to say that hip hop is dead would be an overstatement. Many styles of music go through down periods. It would not be an overstatement to say that hip hop as we know it may very well be dead. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as music lovers have enjoyed this style, and are ready for something new. Musicians are extremely creative, and there is little doubt that a new version of hip hop is just on the horizon.
All types of music experience highs and lows. Hip hop has given us some of the most extreme highs. Now that it seems to be on the decline, it will be interesting to see what the future holds. Millions of hip hop fans are eagerly awaiting the next generation of tunes.
